3 die as vehicle turns turtle

Three labourers, one of whom was driving a cement-mixing lorry, were killed on the spot after the vehicle toppled under Rajanakunte police limits of Bangalore rural district on Thursday morning.

The deceased have been identified as Raghavendra (driver), Krishna and Durgappa.

According to the police they died
of head injuries.

They were on their way to Chikka Madurai near Doddaballapur. On reaching Ittigepura junction, which connects to Chikka Madurai road, Raghavendra lost control of the vehicle.

The lorry skidded off the road and fell into a ditch, killing all three of them, the police said.
