Woman jumps to death from office building

A 20-year-old woman died after jumping from the fifth floor of a building on Sunday. Police suspect the incident to be a suicide, but it is yet to be ascertained. The victim, identified as Renuka, was a native of Kondahalli in Chitradurga.

On Sunday at about 10.15 am, she jumped from the fifth
floor of MK Retail Shops, located on C M H Road .

Renuk a was working as a supervisor with the company and w a s at work on Sunday.

Police said that as her footwear was found inside the building itself, it may be a suicide and not an accident. She had joined the company about 20 days ago.

A case was registered with the Indiranagar police.
Man commits suicide

In another case registered with the Vidyaranyapura police, family members of a 24-year-old man have held the police responsible for his suicide.

On Sunday morning Venkataswamy, a resident of Doddabommasandra, committed suicide by hanging from the ceiling fan using a saree, at his home.

His family members alleged that Chandra Layout police had taken him into custody after he was accused of selling fake rubber stamps. During interrogation, he was allegedly beaten up and humiliated. A death note was left behind by the victim, in which he has accused the police.

A case was registered with the Vidyaranyapura police.
